Description
The Smith & Nephew Primapore Sterile Island Dressing is a low-adherent adhesive wound dressing suited to minor cuts, grazes, and post-procedure wound sites. It combines a soft, breathable non-woven backing with an absorbent central pad, so the dressing can manage everyday wound exudate while remaining comfortable enough for extended wear. It's a practical option for home first aid kits, workplaces, and clinical settings such as podiatry and general practice.
Key Features
- Breathable, non-woven adhesive backing that moves with the skin
- Low-adherent, absorbent central pad reduces sticking and discomfort at dressing changes
- Secure adhesive border helps keep the wound site protected from contamination
- Sterile and individually packaged for hygienic single-use application
- Available in two sizes — 7.2cm x 5.0cm and 8.3cm x 6.0cm — to suit different wound sizes
- Supplied in a box of 50 dressings
How to Use
Clean and dry the wound area, then peel back the backing and apply the dressing so the absorbent pad sits directly over the wound, smoothing the adhesive border down to seal the edges. Choose the smaller 7.2cm x 5.0cm size for minor cuts and grazes, or the larger 8.3cm x 6.0cm size for bigger wound sites or where more coverage is needed.
Primapore dressings are used in podiatry clinics and general wound care settings across Australia for everyday minor wound management. Stocked in boxes of 50 with fast delivery Australia-wide.
