What are heel raisers used for?
Heel raisers (also called heel lifts or heel wedges) lift the heel slightly inside the shoe. They're most commonly used to offload the Achilles tendon during rehabilitation of Achilles tendinopathy, and to correct minor leg length discrepancy. Interpod heel raisers are self-adhesive EVA, so they sit securely inside the shoe or can be bonded to an existing orthotic.
Should I choose 6mm or 8mm heel lifts?
6mm is the more common starting height and is generally well tolerated in most footwear. 8mm provides greater offloading, which may be indicated where more lift is required — but the extra height can affect fit in shallower shoes.
