Description
Formthotics Everyday Workfit – Insoles for Work Boots & Safety Shoes
The Formthotics Everyday Workfit is a dual-density insole designed specifically for people who spend long shifts on their feet — tradies, warehouse workers, nurses, hospitality staff, and anyone standing or walking on hard surfaces for hours at a time. The firmer base layer provides arch support and alignment, while the softer top layer cushions against the relentless impact of concrete, tile and factory flooring.
Made from thermoformable Formax™ foam in New Zealand, the Workfit can be heat-moulded by a podiatrist for a custom fit or worn straight from the pack. It's shaped to fit inside work boots, steel caps, safety shoes and narrower rubber safety boots without adding excessive bulk.
Why Work Boots Need Better Insoles
Standard stock insoles in work boots are typically flat, thin EVA with no arch support. After a few weeks they compress and offer nothing. The Workfit replaces them with structured dual-density support that holds its shape across long shifts, helping reduce the arch pain, heel fatigue and lower back strain that come from hours on hard flooring. If you're in steel caps or safety boots, this is one of the simplest upgrades you can make for daily comfort.

Workfit vs Running Insoles — What's the Difference?
The Workfit is designed for standing and walking on hard flat surfaces — the loads are different from running. If you're also a runner, the Sport Run Dual or ShockStop are built for running gait and impact patterns. For a firmer, more corrective device than an insole, Trekker orthotics offer semi-rigid biomechanical control.
Sizing
Available in XS–XL. Remove the existing insole from your work boot and insert the Workfit in its place. Trim guides are marked on the insole for a precise fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will these fit in steel cap boots?
Yes — the Workfit is specifically designed to fit inside steel cap and composite toe boots. Remove the stock insole first to ensure enough room.
Can these help with plantar fasciitis from standing all day?
The arch support and heel cushioning can help reduce the strain that contributes to plantar fasciitis in workers on their feet all day. If your heel pain is persistent, it's worth seeing a podiatrist for a proper assessment — insoles are one part of the picture.
How are these different from the Formthotics running insoles?
The Workfit is designed for the sustained, repetitive loading of standing and walking on flat hard surfaces. The Run Dual and ShockStop are designed for the impact patterns of running gait. Use the right insole for the right activity.
Do I need to get these heat-moulded?
No — they work out of the pack and will gradually conform to your foot shape. Heat moulding by a podiatrist gives a closer, faster custom fit but is optional.
How long do they last in work boots?
Typically 12–18 months with daily use. Workers on concrete or in heavy boots may find they need replacing sooner — when the foam compresses and you notice less arch support, it's time for a new pair.
